Quality Control Engineer

About the role

Wilo is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to join its Turkish operations. The role focuses on ensuring product quality across all production stages, from incoming material inspection to final pump performance testing, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute incoming, in‑process, and final quality inspections according to ISO 1101, ISO 17025 and sampling standards.
• Create and maintain quality plans, inspection characteristics and control parameters in the SAP QM module.
• Generate and analyse non‑conformance reports (NCR) in SAP, manage supplier follow‑ups and drive corrective actions.
• Track quality KPIs, PPM values, supplier quality, customer returns and scrap/rework data, updating dashboards regularly.
• Conduct pump performance tests per EN ISO 9906, analyse flow, pressure, power consumption, efficiency, vibration and temperature data.
• Support internal and external audits for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and other certification schemes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Fluent English and ability to read technical drawings.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Experience with ISO 9001, TSE standards and Quality Management Systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP QM module and MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of root‑cause analysis methods: FMEA (DFMEA/PFMEA), 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa.
• Familiarity with ISO 1101, ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001.
• Ability to operate measuring equipment and test benches, including calibration management.
