R&D Tax Incentives Specialist

About the role

EY Turkey is looking for an R&D Tax Incentives Specialist to join its Tax team. The role involves supporting clients in obtaining and maintaining research and development tax benefits under Turkish legislation. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance and deliver high‑quality services.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of R&D incentive services, ensuring timely and accurate completion of processes.
• Perform monthly eligibility checks, review R&D incentives (income tax and social security premium), and support audit activities.
• Review R&D deduction and TDZ income exemption calculations and prepare related reports.
• Monitor portal applications, manage notifications, and support technical R&D project report analysis.
• Assist with R&D/Design Center and TDZ application processes and follow up on project submissions to TÜBİTAK and other institutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration, economics, finance, management or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Intermediate level of English proficiency.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of R&D processes and incentives, especially Law No. 5746 and 4691.
• Team‑oriented mindset with good communication and negotiation skills.
