Safety Officer

About the role

Rixos, a luxury resort group established in 2000 in Turkey, is looking for a Safety Officer. The role covers developing and maintaining safety policies, inspecting the premises, investigating incidents and supporting staff and guests in a safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain safety policies and procedures in line with local, national and international regulations.
• Carry out regular safety inspections, risk assessments and audits, and investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses with detailed reports and recommendations.
• Lead safety training for employees and collaborate with management on safety improvement plans.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, training, inspections and corrective actions, and ensure PPE is available and used properly.
• Keep pool areas clean and maintain equipment and facilities so that guests and staff stay safe.
• Act as the point of contact for safety matters, give honest feedback, coach team members and attend daily operational briefings.
• Stay familiar with emergency procedures and the hotel's quality standards, and perform other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience in a similar Safety Officer or HSE role, preferably in luxury hospitality.
• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field (preferred).
• Good communication skills in English, with the ability to train and guide employees.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to workplace safety.
