Sales Engineer - Water Business

About the role

Sulzer is looking for a Sales Engineer to join its Water business in Istanbul, Turkey. You will combine your interest in technology and sales to provide technical support throughout the sales process and help develop solutions that meet customer requirements. You will work closely with customers, local partners, sales colleagues and engineering teams, with a particular focus on opportunities in the metal and mining industry.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Support the development of customized solutions based on customer needs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to confirm the technical feasibility of proposals.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely technical support.
• Build and develop relationships with existing customers and local partners.
• Support sales activities, with a strong focus on the metal and mining industry.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM systems.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Relevant experience in technical sales, sales engineering or a sales support role.
• Fluency in English and the local language.
• Preferred: experience supporting customers in the metal, mining, water, industrial or rotating equipment sectors, and experience working with engineering teams to prepare technical and commercial proposals.
