Security Manager

About the role

The Security Manager will lead all security operations across a luxury hotel or resort, safeguarding guests, staff, visitors and assets. This senior position requires developing robust security procedures, coordinating with law‑enforcement and ensuring rapid response to emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security teams, plan shifts, allocate tasks and oversee training and performance.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve security policies, risk‑assessment methods and preventive measures.
• Manage access control, CCTV monitoring, patrols and other security technologies.
• Coordinate emergency response, fire safety, evacuation drills and crisis‑management procedures with relevant departments.
• Maintain accurate incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions while ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality or related field (preferred).
• At least 10 years of security experience, including 3+ years in team management, preferably in luxury hotels or resorts.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Valid private security identification card and compliance with legal requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CCTV and access‑control systems.
• Experience using security technologies and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of private‑security legislation, risk assessment and incident management.
• Competence in MS Office for reporting and documentation.
