Senior Controlling Specialist

About the role

FANUC, a global provider of factory automation, is hiring a Senior Controlling Specialist in its Sancaktepe office in Istanbul. The role covers financial reporting, P&L analysis, month-end closing and process improvement, working with stakeholders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Manage and analyse assigned P&L and balance sheet accounts, keeping financial data accurate and reliable.
• Coordinate month-end closing, maintain the closing calendar and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
• Prepare closing reports, schedules, management presentations and variance analyses.
• Create and monitor closing journal entries and support transfer pricing reporting.
• Carry out actual versus budget analyses and lead finance-related projects, system enhancements and ERP integration initiatives.
• Act as the main contact for internal and external audits and partner with stakeholders to support business decisions.
• Drive process improvement and automation to improve efficiency and data quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in Controlling, Financial Reporting, Audit or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP (IFRS expertise is mandatory).
• Solid understanding of internal controls and compliance best practices.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP or JD Edwards (ERP implementation experience is a strong plus).
• Advanced analytical and financial reporting skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
