Senior Data Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Data Engineer at bitaksi, you will design and operate the data backbone that powers real‑time mobility intelligence for an entire city. You will work with a modern, high‑concurrency stack to deliver reliable, scalable pipelines that enable millions of daily rides.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain end‑to‑end ETL/ELT pipelines processing millions of events per day.
• Write clean, production‑grade code for complex data transformations and optimisations.
• Establish and enforce data governance standards, including quality, lineage and security.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to provide curated datasets for real‑time machine‑learning models.
• Optimise big‑data infrastructure (AWS/GCP, Spark, Airflow) for performance and scalability.
• Translate business requirements into robust data schemas and analytical assets.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Strong computer‑science foundation or related degree.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining large‑scale data pipelines.
• Experience implementing data‑governance frameworks and quality checks.
