Senior Product Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer to own core product experiences from concept to production, combining strong design judgment with engineering expertise. The role is remote‑first, offering high autonomy and the chance to shape both the user experience and the underlying design system of a global scheduling platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end product surfaces, including booking flows, scheduling primitives, and team/enterprise experiences.
• Translate product problems into high‑quality designs, prototypes, and production‑ready frontend components.
• Build and test prototypes using AI‑assisted tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and v0.
• Deliver reusable, accessible components with correct semantics, interaction states, and motion design.
• Maintain and evolve a shared open‑source component library, auditing primitives and filling gaps.
• Document design decisions and support asynchronous collaboration across product and design leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a product designer who has evolved into design engineering, handling complex, ambiguous product areas.
• Strong frontend engineering skills in HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and React, capable of turning concepts into production‑ready implementations independently.
• Deep expertise in custom UI component design, headless primitive composition (Base UI, Radix or similar), and design systems.
• Solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) and motion design principles.
• Effective written communication for clear asynchronous documentation.
