Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

n11.com is looking for a dynamic, result-oriented Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join its Technology Department. The role covers infrastructure deployment, automation, monitoring and incident resolution across large-scale distributed systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance on system options, risks, impacts and costs versus benefits
• Write automation code to deploy and maintain infrastructure and applications
• Work closely with Software Engineering, Security and Product teams
• Install and configure solutions, implement reusable components, translate technical requirements, support test data, build interface stubs and simulators, and maintain scripts
• Use metrics and monitoring systems to ensure performance, scalability and stability
• Handle server bootstrapping, site build-outs, software rollouts, security patches, monitoring and alerting
• Deploy new modules and upgrades and fix issues in production
• Troubleshoot errors in information systems and recommend performance improvements and alternatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic), Docker and Kubernetes, and deep knowledge of DevOps principles
• Experience with log aggregation (Elasticsearch, Splunk or equivalents), cache management (Couchbase, Redis or Hazelcast), distributed messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and APM tools (Datadog, AppDynamics, New Relic or Dynatrace)
• Experience with monitoring and alerting (Zabbix, Prometheus/Grafana) and with large-scale distributed systems
• Knowledge of automation/configuration management (Ansible, Puppet or Salt; Ansible preferred) and IaC tools (preferably Terraform)
• Programming knowledge in Java, Python, Go or Rust
• Knowledge of JVM and Java application servers, network protocols (IP, TCP, HTTP, DNS, SSL), and CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of CDNs such as Akamai, Fastly or Cloudflare
• Knowledge of load balancing
