Senior Software Architect – AI & Distributed Systems

About the role

We are looking for a senior software architect to lead the design and modernization of our next‑generation, business‑critical platforms. The role combines deep expertise in .NET technologies, distributed event‑driven systems and AI/LLM integration to deliver highly scalable, cloud‑native services for a global fashion retailer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, development and migration of legacy systems (WCF, ASP.NET MVC, MS‑SQL) to micro‑services and cloud‑native solutions.
• Design and implement AI agents and intelligent automation workflows, integrating large language models into enterprise processes.
• Define and maintain the technology stack – .NET Core, Docker, Kubernetes, Dapr.io, Nats.io, Redis, Vector DBs, Elastic Search, monitoring and observability tools.
• Monitor production services, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and ensure high availability.
• Guide development teams on architectural decisions, code quality and performance optimisation.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years as a senior software architect on enterprise‑grade projects.
• Proven experience designing distributed, event‑driven systems and modernising legacy applications.
• Strong understanding of AI/LLM concepts, prompt engineering, embeddings and vector search.
