Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Senior Backend Engineer to design and build high‑performance, distributed game services for Good Job Games. In this on‑site position in Istanbul, you will work with a talented team to create tools and infrastructure that power our mobile puzzle games enjoyed by billions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, low‑latency backend services for multiplayer games.
• Build internal tools for operations, data analysis, and automation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support and empower product development.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best engineering practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong background in designing fault‑tolerant, distributed systems.
• Passion for mobile puzzle games and the gaming industry.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, including advanced language features.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services.
• Knowledge of NoSQL and in‑memory databases.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
