Software Architect

About the role

Rapsodo is seeking a Software Architect to define and evolve the technical foundation of its data‑driven sports analytics products. The role works closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to design scalable, secure, cloud‑native solutions that power real‑time performance insights for athletes worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures for new and existing products.
• Define architectural standards, technical requirements, and engineering best practices, maintaining design artifacts and API specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Lead architecture and code reviews, mentor engineers, and ensure high software quality across teams.
• Evaluate and adopt modern technologies, frameworks, cloud services, and AI‑assisted development tools to boost productivity.
• Contribute directly to the codebase through validation, refactoring, optimization, and hands‑on development.
• Promote continuous improvement by advocating clean architecture, modern engineering practices, and technical innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Software Architect or in a comparable technical leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, design patterns, and system integration.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go (Golang) and at least one object‑oriented language such as Java, C#, or Kotlin.
• Experience with Python (optional but a plus).
• Hands‑on experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure).
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools throughout the software lifecycle.
