Software Architect (R&D)

About the role

Miratec is seeking an experienced Software Architect to define technical vision for new products and technology initiatives, evaluate emerging technologies, and guide engineering teams toward scalable, production‑ready solutions. This remote position supports global digital transformation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve architectural vision for products, platforms, and technology initiatives.
• Research emerging technologies, conduct technical evaluations, and lead Proof‑of‑Concept initiatives.
• Design scalable cloud‑native, distributed, and hybrid architectures and establish standards and best practices.
• Support engineering teams with complex technical challenges, conduct architecture reviews, and mentor senior engineers.

Required profile

• 4+ years in a Software Architect, Enterprise Architect, Engineering Director or similar role.
• Strong understanding of modern architectural patterns, distributed systems, and total cost of ownership considerations.
• Proven experience leading distributed engineering teams and driving architectural initiatives across products.

• Container & orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm.
• Programming languages: Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, Node.js.
• Frontend frameworks: React, Angular.
• Data & messaging: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, NoSQL, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch.
• DevOps & automation: GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code.
• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, OpenTelemetry.
