Software Engineering Manager (Python)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager with strong Python expertise to lead and grow our engineering team. This people‑first role balances people management with technical leadership, focusing on building high‑performing teams and advancing Python competency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate engineers, creating personal development plans and career paths.
• Build a positive working environment, keep the team engaged, and manage resource planning for projects.
• Define hiring needs, recruit, and establish a strong onboarding process.
• Develop Python competency by defining required skills, technologies, and organizing training.
• Maintain long‑term client relationships, manage expectations, and take full responsibility for delivery.
• Plan project schedules, set team priorities, and ensure timely resolution of issues and defects.
• Collaborate with developers on requirements, review deliverables, and uphold engineering standards.
• Participate in solution design to meet business, financial, and schedule goals.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience with Python.
• Proven experience managing a team of 5+ engineers and handling people‑management challenges.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of project management and software engineering practices.
• English level B2 or higher, spoken and written.
