Staff Analog Design Engineer

About the role

Renesas Electronics is looking for a seasoned Analog Design Engineer to join its PMIC team in Istanbul. This full‑time, permanent position offers a hybrid work arrangement (1‑3 days onsite per week) and focuses on cutting‑edge power‑management IC development.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret requirement specifications and define system and design strategies for power‑management products.
• Provide technical leadership as lead designer for major analog blocks, guiding designs through to production.
• Design, simulate, and supervise layout of CMOS power‑management circuits while meeting performance, area, power, and schedule constraints.
• Conduct feasibility studies, lead lab evaluations with Application Engineers, and produce high‑quality documentation for IP blocks.
• Support DFT strategy, partner with test teams, and drive top‑level simulation and verification planning.
• Coach and mentor less‑experienced team members and act as Technical Project Leader for customer‑facing projects.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Dipl./M.Sc.) in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of IC analog/power design experience.
• Strong knowledge of Bipolar, Bi‑CMOS and CMOS process technologies and layout trade‑offs.
• Excellent communication skills and very good command of English.

Required skills

• Analog/power circuit design in sub‑micron CMOS processes.
• Design of LDOs, bandgap references, DC‑DC switching regulators (buck, boost, charge‑pump), and various modulator architectures.
• Experience with integrated power FETs, drivers, current‑limit protection, rail‑to‑rail and precision amplifiers, oscillators, switched‑capacitor circuits, comparators, and A/D‑D/A converters.
• Design for ESD and latch‑up robustness.
• Proficiency with Mixed‑Signal Cadence tools, parasitic extraction, behavioral block modeling, and analog/mixed‑signal verification methodologies.
