Supplier Technical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Supplier Technical Engineer to lead part development and support local suppliers in press and forming operations. The role bridges design, tooling and production to ensure high-quality chassis and body components from prototype through mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Manage part development processes aligned with press and forming requirements.
• Evaluate and qualify supplier tooling and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and enhance local suppliers’ press capabilities.
• Analyse and resolve production issues in chassis and body components.
• Contribute to fixture design, welding sequence planning and process optimisation.
• Ensure welding quality and feasibility from prototype to series production.
• Coordinate the transition from prototype to mass production.
• Lead continuous improvement and optimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience with press/sheet-metal forming and welding processes (MIG/MAG, spot welding).
• Hands-on experience in chassis, body or metal-part production.
• Familiarity with localisation projects and production methods.
• Strong ability to read technical drawings and tolerances.
• Proficiency in English.
