System Support Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive System Support Specialist to join a fast‑growing HealthTech start‑up. You will work closely with the CTO to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux‑based AI servers and medical hardware in hospital environments across Turkey and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver, rack, cable and set up Linux server clusters on‑site at hospital locations.
• Configure, test and integrate medical devices such as barcode and cassette printers into daily workflows.
• Monitor server health, ensure high availability, and perform routine updates, patches and version upgrades.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for hospital IT and InfoSec teams on VPN, firewall and privacy compliance.
• Collaborate with hardware vendors and storage providers to manage capacity and maintenance.
• Assist with database migrations and run basic SQL queries on PostgreSQL and Oracle platforms.
• Analyse, troubleshoot and document incidents raised by hospital IT staff.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Linux server administration and command‑line tools.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Foundational SQL knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle databases.
• Basic understanding of networking, VPN setup and firewall concepts.
• Interest or background in health informatics or hospital information systems is a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel for field deployments.
