Technical Engineer, Surgical Robot (Medbot)

About the role

The Technical Engineer, MedBot provides technical support, installation, maintenance, and field service for MicroPort MedBot surgical robotic systems across Turkey and neighboring markets. The role works closely with commercial, clinical, training, and customer service teams to ensure optimal system performance and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, setup, testing, and commissioning of MedBot systems at customer sites, ensuring all technical requirements are met before handover.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose hardware and software issues, and resolve technical problems promptly to minimise downtime.
• Provide on‑site technical assistance during clinical procedures, support surgeons and hospital staff, and respond to customer inquiries and service requests.
• Support customer training, technical demonstrations, workshops, and collaborate with training and clinical teams for successful adoption.
• Maintain service records, technical documentation, and ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and company standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Medical Technology or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in technical service, field service engineering, or medical device support, preferably with capital medical equipment.
• Experience in hospital and operating‑room environments, with strong customer‑service orientation.
• Fluent in English and Turkish, with willingness to travel extensively within Turkey and internationally.
