About the role

The Telephone Sales Officer will support Cencora’s inside‑sales team by handling inbound and outbound calls, following up on leads, and providing sales support to customers. The role focuses on accurate documentation, adherence to SOPs, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth sales operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inside‑sales activities such as lead follow‑up, customer outreach, and opportunity updates.
• Record all customer interactions and opportunity details in the CRM system, ensuring audit‑ready documentation.
• Follow approved scripts, templates, and standard operating procedures to maintain quality and compliance.
• Communicate status updates within the team and escalate blockers or exceptions through defined channels.
• Identify and correct data or documentation gaps, and flag unresolved discrepancies with clear notes.
• Use standard tools, checklists, and reports to validate records and support accurate handoffs to other functions.
• Participate in training, shadowing, and feedback sessions to improve sales proficiency and execution quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, sales, commerce or equivalent experience.
• Less than 2 years of experience in inside sales, sales support, account management or business development.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Inside Sales Professional, Certified Strategic Account Manager) are a plus.
• Ability to build cooperative relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce or similar).
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
