Turkey Statutory Accountant

About the role

IWGIWG, which brings together brands such as Regus, Spaces, HQ and Signature, is looking for a Statutory Accountant for its Turkey operations. The role ensures that all Turkish legal entities meet their statutory accounting, financial reporting, audit and regulatory compliance obligations, working closely with Group Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal and Shared Service Centre teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual statutory financial statements and file them on time, review trial balances and supporting schedules, and prepare reconciliations
• Ensure significant transactions such as intercompany balances, corporate restructurings, financing, lease and fixed asset accounting, provisions and contingencies are correctly reflected
• Manage Turkish corporate income tax, VAT and withholding tax compliance, review tax returns, reconcile tax balances and support tax audits
• Coordinate monthly e-ledger compliance, liaise with external providers and maintain supporting documentation
• Serve as the primary finance contact for statutory audits, coordinate PBC schedules and resolve audit findings
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, validate journal entries and maintain compliance trackers and filing calendars
• Drive standardisation and automation of compliance processes, support ERP implementations and partner with Shared Service Centres

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant, CPA, SMMM or equivalent professional qualification
• 3-7+ years' experience in statutory accounting, tax compliance, external audit or financial reporting
• Strong understanding of Turkish statutory accounting and tax requirements
• Desirable: experience in a multinational, with external tax advisors and auditors, IFRS and group reporting, and ERP exposure

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of Corporation Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax and e-ledger compliance
• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
