Accounting Specialist

About the role

YEO, a leading Turkish engineering and renewable‑energy company, is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join its finance team in Kartal, Istanbul. You will be responsible for month‑end closing, financial reporting and supporting the company’s international subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end closing processes, financial reporting and general accounting operations.
• Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, cash‑flow analyses and management reports.
• Coordinate reporting and reconciliation for overseas subsidiaries, converting local accounts to the Turkish Uniform Chart of Accounts.
• Record and monitor import/export transactions, inter‑company reconciliations and daily accounting entries.
• Ensure tax compliance, support VAT refunds, tax declarations and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate independent audits, provide documentation and support regulatory compliance.
• Work with foreign accounting consultants to obtain monthly financial statements and ledgers.
• Support establishment of overseas branches, official reporting and certification requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Preferably holds a CPA (SMMM) certificate.
• Strong analytical thinking and results‑oriented approach.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically Canias.
• Knowledge of the Uniform Chart of Accounts.
• Hands‑on experience with e‑invoice, e‑archive invoice and e‑export invoice processes.
• Understanding of tax legislation, financial reporting and currency valuation transactions.
