Accounting Specialist

About the role

CottGroup is seeking an Accounting Specialist with strong technical expertise and a customer‑oriented mindset to manage accounting processes for its client portfolio in Turkey.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for client companies in line with Turkish Tax Legislation and the Uniform Chart of Accounts.
• Coordinate preparation, review and timely filing of monthly, quarterly and annual tax declarations and statutory filings.
• Manage tax compliance processes including VAT, withholding tax, stamp tax, provisional tax, corporate tax and premium service declarations.
• Prepare and review monthly and period‑end financial statements and management reports.
• Provide clients with financial analyses, insights and professional guidance on accounting, tax and reporting matters.
• Communicate with tax offices, SGK and other public authorities and support client onboarding and system transitions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and finance functions, preferably in accounting firms or consulting.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish tax legislation, Uniform Chart of Accounts, accounting standards and social security regulations.
• Advanced English proficiency for business correspondence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting and ERP software applications.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
