Accounting & Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Tax Manager to lead the general ledger accounting processes for European entities of our international client.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting, intercompany reconciliations and monthly netting for European entities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accruals, provisions and foreign currency valuations.
• Monitor daily bank transactions, payment allocations and payroll reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate records for accounts payable, receivable and master data.
• Prepare financial reports, supporting schedules and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Collaborate with Group Accounting, Controlling, Treasury and HR teams.
• Support internal and external audit processes and coordinate with tax advisors.
• Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and local regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• 7–10 years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably in an international organization.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SAP FI (additional SAP modules a plus).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
