Additive Manufacturing Project Engineer

About the role

As an Additive Manufacturing Project Engineer at Voksel 3D, you will act as the technical bridge between customers in defense, aerospace, industrial manufacturing and medical sectors and the company’s advanced AM systems. You will ensure parts are produced reliably, meet quality standards, and deliver real value to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate candidate parts for AM suitability, selecting technology, material, and optimizing design.
• Apply DfAM principles to redesign parts, prepare build files, and minimize build time while maximizing consistency.
• Analyze print parameters, post‑processing routes, and document results in reports and work instructions.
• Manage benchmark and demo parts to showcase technology capabilities to customers.
• Participate in technical meetings, support sales proposals, and prepare feasibility studies and presentations.
• Run multiple projects in parallel, adapt to shifting priorities, and maintain high quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Materials Engineering.
• 2–3 years hands‑on experience with metal and/or polymer additive manufacturing, preferably powder‑bed fusion.
• Completed or exempted military service for male candidates (Turkey).

Required skills

• SolidWorks (or Siemens NX, CATIA) for 3D CAD.
• Materialise Magics or similar build‑preparation software.
• Working knowledge of DfAM and part printable assessment.
• Understanding of metal and polymer material behavior, heat treatment and post‑processing.
• Experience with inspection methods such as CMM, 3D scanning, CT.
