Assembly & Test Technician

About the role

The Assembly & Test Technician is responsible for building, installing, testing and ensuring the quality of Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) before they are shipped and deployed. The role combines mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and functional testing in a production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and install RVM components following technical drawings, work instructions and procedures.
• Perform mechanical assembly, cable routing and install electrical/electronic parts such as Verification Units, Control Boxes, UPS systems, Modems and Electronic Locks.
• Conduct functional testing, electrical safety checks and quality inspections.
• Verify communication and connectivity between devices and the RVM control system.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults during assembly and testing.
• Maintain accurate assembly, testing and quality documentation.
• Support inventory control and ensure proper use of materials.
• Pack, unpack and apply protective foil wrapping to RVM units.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in office and warehouse facilities.
• Follow HSE policies and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or vocational education in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation or a related field.
• Experience assembling, testing, maintaining or repairing electrical and electronic equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of low‑voltage electrical systems, communication devices and basic networking equipment.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and electrical testing instruments.
• Good command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Valid Class B driving licence and Forklift Operator Certificate with G‑class endorsement.
