Associate Security Research Engineer

About the role

Picus Security is looking for an Associate Security Research Engineer to join its Technical Marketing team. This early‑career position offers the chance to dive deep into real‑world threats, turn research into compelling technical content, and help showcase the capabilities of the Picus Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously research emerging threats, malware families, threat actors, and vulnerability exploitation campaigns.
• Translate findings into technical articles, whitepapers, blog posts, and demo content that highlight Picus’ exposure validation technology.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure research aligns with platform capabilities.
• Engage with the security community through publications, conference talks, meetups, and online forums.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and emerging AI‑driven attack techniques.

Required profile

• Early‑career security professional (SOC analyst, junior consultant, threat hunter, red/blue/purple team member) or recent graduate with a strong interest in threat research.
• Demonstrated ability to write clear, engaging technical content.
• Passion for learning and sharing cybersecurity knowledge.
