Budget & Reporting Specialist

About the role

Tersane Istanbul, a waterfront destination project in Istanbul combining hospitality, lifestyle, culture, gastronomy, retail and entertainment, is hiring a Budget & Reporting Specialist for its Finance team. The role supports the preparation, consolidation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, and the production of accurate financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, consolidating and monitoring annual budgets, forecasts and financial plans for the properties.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, management reports and budget performance analyses.
• Analyse actual results against budget and forecast, explain significant variances and monitor operating expenses and departmental budgets.
• Coordinate with department heads to collect, validate and consolidate budget and forecast data.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing, and prepare analyses, reports and presentations for management decisions.
• Develop and maintain Excel-based reporting tools, dashboards and templates, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity, support internal and external audits, and comply with policies and reporting deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous experience in budgeting, financial reporting or financial analysis; hospitality experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills, good command of written and spoken English, and excellent attention to detail.
• Organised, able to manage several priorities and deadlines and to work collaboratively across departments.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost control and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems is an advantage.
