Business Development Manager

About the role

Hannover Fairs Turkey (HFT) is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sustainable growth by identifying and developing new trade‑fair, event and business opportunities across Turkey, the MENA region and other potential markets. The role combines market research, strategic analysis and partnership building to expand HFT’s portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new trade‑fair, event and business opportunities in Turkey, MENA and other markets.
• Conduct market, feasibility, competitor and profitability analyses to evaluate opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to generate actionable insights.
• Prepare SWOT analyses, business plans, revenue models and decision‑support materials.
• Evaluate target industries, geographic markets, customer segments and commercial potential.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to position and commercialise new projects.
• Develop strategic partnerships with industry associations, companies and institutions.
• Support internal evaluation, approval and implementation processes for new concepts.
• Work with external research firms, consultants and service providers as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience, preferably in B2B environments.
• Strong familiarity with international business development in MENA and/or CIS regions.
• Hands‑on experience in market research, analysis and opportunity identification.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret market data and competitive dynamics.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive, curious and self‑motivated with no travel restrictions.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
