Commis II – Kitchen Team Member

About the role

The Commis II supports the culinary team at Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Center, ensuring high‑quality food preparation and presentation across restaurants, bars, banquets, room service and in‑hotel cafés.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and presenting food according to Hilton quality standards.
• Complete daily mise en place accurately and efficiently.
• Execute tasks assigned by Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie and Sous Chef.
• Follow standardized recipes, portion control and presentation guidelines.
• Support kitchen operations during busy periods and help control food costs.
• Maintain stock rotation (FIFO) and proper storage of all food items.
• Keep work areas clean, organized and hygienic, preventing cross‑contamination.
• Use kitchen equipment correctly and report any maintenance issues.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Commis I, Commis II or similar kitchen role.
• Relevant culinary education or equivalent professional qualification.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Positive, professional attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail‑oriented, disciplined and eager to learn.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
