Controlling Director

About the role

We are seeking a Controlling Director to report directly to the CFO of an international, fast‑growing FMCG company. The role will own end‑to‑end business planning, forecasting, budgeting, performance management and commercial finance processes while leading a high‑performing finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual business planning, budgeting, forecasting and revision cycles from start to finish.
• Prepare financial performance, variance and scenario analyses for senior management.
• Own management reporting and decision‑support processes.
• Partner with commercial teams on pricing, value‑chain, profitability and growth decisions.
• Represent the local finance organisation to regional and global stakeholders.
• Lead, develop and retain a high‑performing finance team.
• Drive the development of data, automation and digital finance capabilities.
• Provide strategic financial insight to support business performance and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong experience in FP&A, controlling, business planning or commercial finance.
• Proven background within global FMCG organisations is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex planning and forecasting processes end‑to‑end.
• Deep understanding of pricing, value‑chain, margin and profitability dynamics.
• Track record of leading and developing high‑performing finance teams.
• Experience working with regional and/or global stakeholders.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills at management level.
• Calm, mature leadership style with high standards.
• Ambition to grow into broader finance leadership responsibilities.
• Additional experience in accounting, reporting, audit, tax or a Big Four background is a strong advantage.
