Cook I – Culinary Position

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Cook I to join our Food & Beverage team at our Istanbul hotel. The role involves preparing a variety of meals, ensuring high standards of quality, and supporting the kitchen during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Thaw frozen items in refrigeration and manage portioning, arrangement, and garnish.
• Maintain food logs and monitor quality and quantity of prepared dishes.
• Communicate assistance needs and inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
• Notify service staff of menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
• Prepare and cook both hot and cold foods following quality and presentation standards.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 25 lb.
