Cook I – Full‑time Hotel Kitchen Position

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Cook I to join the culinary team at JW Marriott Istanbul Marmara Sea Otel. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will prepare a variety of hot and cold dishes, ensure food quality and safety, and support the kitchen’s daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures and manage food thawing from freezer to refrigerator.
• Maintain accurate food logs, portion control, and garnish arrangements.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials, and communicate menu specials or out‑of‑stock items to service staff.
• Follow all safety, security, and hygiene policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, or unsafe conditions.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating kitchen staff as needed.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving items up to 25 lb.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant culinary experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
