Customs Purchase Order Controller

About the role

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is looking for a Customs Purchase Order Controller to join its Istanbul team. The role ensures accurate processing of import purchase orders and related documentation, supporting the finance and tax functions of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Open, track and manage all import purchase orders for Innovative Medicine, Vision and GCO product lines.
• Review, control and organise documentation for import archive files and feed cost data.
• Maintain accounting archive files, classify records, share with relevant teams and execute timely goods receipt (GR) transactions.
• Control tax archive files and provide documentation to stakeholders as required.
• Perform monthly vendor reconciliation between PO and GR records.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in GR, invoices or POs, coordinating with local partners.
• Prepare and distribute monthly reports on PO and GR values.
• Ensure compliance with Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and internal standards.

Required profile

• University degree (any field).
• Minimum 6 months experience in customs operations and document tracking.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
