Cyber Security Domain Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Domain Architect to shape enterprise security strategies across cloud, infrastructure, identity, and data environments. This fully remote position offers broad technical exposure to Azure and VMware Cloud Foundation while influencing enterprise‑wide security roadmaps.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain current‑state and target‑state security architectures aligned with business, compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Define and govern security standards, controls, reference architectures and multi‑year roadmaps for Azure, VMware Cloud Foundation, identity and data protection.
• Lead technical security initiatives covering Microsoft Entra ID/IAM, Zero Trust, network and micro‑segmentation, data encryption and Microsoft Defender suite.
• Facilitate workshops, produce Architecture Decision Records and support Architecture Review Boards.
• Advise senior stakeholders on risk, trade‑offs and remediation, and contribute to threat detection and incident response.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Security Architect or equivalent role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Strong communication skills to advise senior and executive stakeholders.
• Experience with healthcare or public‑sector compliance frameworks is a plus.

Required skills

• Azure security architecture and Azure‑native security controls.
• VMware Cloud Foundation security design.
• Microsoft Entra ID / Identity & Access Management.
• Zero Trust, network segmentation and micro‑segmentation concepts.
• Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Identity.
• Security governance, risk, compliance, data protection and encryption.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Azure Security Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
