Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric & Power BI

About the role

Beymen Group is seeking a Data Engineer to lead the migration of its data platform to Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. You will be hands‑on in moving from Oracle DWH and MicroStrategy, onboarding new source systems, and building scalable data products that support the luxury retail business.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with BI, Business Units, Software Development and Data Science teams to capture data requirements.
• Build and maintain a high‑performance, scalable platform on Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Data Factory, Spark).
• Design, develop, and operate reliable data pipelines for ingesting and transforming data from multiple enterprise systems.
• Migrate existing Oracle DWH objects and legacy ETL jobs to Fabric‑native pipelines using T‑SQL.
• Implement robust data ingestion from SAP and other retail sources (POS, e‑commerce, ERP, WMS).
• Design dimensional data models that efficiently serve Power BI semantic models.
• Deploy data quality rules and optimizations to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Monitor and tune storage, query performance, and pipeline execution for scalability, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Enforce best practices and standards across all data‑engineering activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of professional data‑engineering experience.
• Strong SQL development skills (T‑SQL, PL/SQL) with performance‑tuning expertise.
• Proven experience in ETL design, implementation and maintenance.
• Experience in schema design and dimensional data modeling.
