Data Science Professional

About the role

TikTak, Turkey's fastest-growing car rental and sharing company, is hiring a Data Science Professional for its growing teams. You will solve real business challenges using data from the app, vehicle telematics devices and field operations, and build models that support vehicle allocation, routing and demand forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Solve real-world business challenges using data from the app, vehicle telematics and field operations.
• Develop optimization models for vehicle allocation and routing, delivering actionable plans for field teams.
• Build time series forecasting models for demand prediction across time periods and locations, including sparse data and strong seasonality.
• Design anomaly detection models for streaming sensor and operational data.
• Develop classification models for risk and propensity prediction on tabular data, and image classification.
• Work with business teams to define problems, success metrics and expected outcomes before model development.
• Build scalable models in Python and SQL on AWS (Redshift, S3, Airflow, Kinesis, Druid).
• Partner with data engineers to deploy models via Airflow jobs or services, with continuous monitoring.
• Measure model impact against baselines or control groups, track KPIs and improve models after deployment.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning Engineering, with at least one production model deployed and maintained.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• Strong experience in at least two of: optimization, time series forecasting, anomaly detection, classification.
• Hands-on experience with classical machine learning for tabular and time series data (e.g. gradient boosting), including time-based validation and data leakage prevention.
• Ability to turn business challenges into measurable data science solutions and show impact through financial outcomes or KPIs.

Required skills

• Python and SQL, and statistical methods.
• Plus: AWS SageMaker, Lambda, Docker, CI/CD, OR-Tools, H3, GPS, Kinesis, Druid, computer vision, and LLMs and generative AI.
