Design and Release Engineer

About the role

Lead new development and ongoing program development for Electrical Distribution Systems and Switch & Display Systems, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality solutions within the Global Product Development System.

Key responsibilities

• Develop functional and engineering specifications and conduct technical design reviews.
• Create and execute Design Verification Plans (DVP) and perform design efficiency and TVM analyses.
• Lead technical collaboration with suppliers, cross‑functional teams, and global program teams.
• Manage Bill of Materials, coordinate FSU, production release, WERS and other engineering release activities.
• Support sourcing activities, including RFQ management and maintain project plans.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical, Electronics, Control, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience in Electrical Distribution Systems routing engineering and complexity management.
• Project management experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel and fluent English communication.

Required skills

• FMEA, DVP, 8D, FEDE methodologies.
• Engineering development tools for vehicle, component and system‑level testing.
• Knowledge of modern materials, manufacturing processes and product development methodologies.
