Design Engineer (Mechanical)

About the role

We are looking for a Design Engineer to lead the end‑to‑end development of complex mechanical components and assemblies. You will turn concepts into series‑production parts that improve mobility, consumer goods, industrial and energy solutions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and development from concept through series production, ensuring manufacturability, cost‑effectiveness and compliance.
• Perform 3D modelling, tolerance stack‑ups and advanced calculations (stress, thermal, durability).
• Own the product lifecycle – requirements, prototyping, validation, production launch and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with suppliers on feasibility, design validation and technical alignment.
• Apply quality and risk tools (DFMEA, DRBFM, 8D, FTA) to guarantee robust designs.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications and justification reports.
• Provide design leadership and mentor cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing parts and assemblies for series production, preferably HVAC.
• Strong knowledge of modern manufacturing methods (plastics, die‑casting, machining, sealing).
• Proficiency in GD&T, material selection, tolerance analysis and lifecycle management.
• Fluent English communication skills.

• CAD/PLM: UG NX, Teamcenter, SAP.
• CAE: FEA, CFD, stress/thermal/durability analysis.
• Quality tools: DFMEA, DRBFM, 8D, FTA.
• GD&T, tolerance stack‑up, material selection.
• Manufacturing methods: plastics, die‑casting, machining, sealing technologies.
