About the role
The Design Engineer will develop structural and moving mechanisms for advanced weapon systems, supporting concept and prototype phases. The role requires rapid problem‑solving in a fast‑paced, high‑stakes environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design structural and moving mechanisms for weapon systems.
- Carry out design, integration, and testing activities in concept and prototype development.
- Research new technologies and competitor systems and prepare technical evaluation reports.
- Track project processes, work packages, and schedules, coordinating with relevant teams.
- Develop fast and lasting solutions to technical problems in demanding, critical projects.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 0–5 years of design experience in weapon systems or the defence industry.
- Knowledge of weapon systems, ammunition integration, and moving‑mechanism design.
- Strong research, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (CATIA) with knowledge of tolerancing and technical drawing.
- Ability to perform strength (structural) and dynamic analysis.
- Experience using AI tools in engineering work.
