Design Manager / Design Chief for International Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are looking for experienced Design Managers or Design Chiefs to lead design activities on international infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate design activities in line with contract requirements, technical specifications and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with design teams, consultants, clients and construction teams, handling multidisciplinary design interfaces.
• Monitor design schedules, submissions and approvals to meet project milestones.
• Review designs for technical compliance, constructability and site requirements, and evaluate design changes for cost, schedule and construction impact.
• Lead design coordination meetings and report on progress, resolving technical queries during construction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture.
• Proven experience in design management and coordination for large‑scale infrastructure projects, preferably in metro, railway or tunnel sectors.
• Previous experience as a Design Chief, Design Manager or similar role.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning and problem‑solving skills with good command of written and spoken English.
