DevOps Engineer (AWS & Zabbix)

About the role

Runibex, a technology services provider and software product company active in Cloud, Commerce and Product Development, is looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong AWS expertise and advanced hands-on experience with Zabbix. The role focuses on designing, managing and optimising cloud infrastructure, especially monitoring, alerting and observability solutions across AWS, hybrid and on-premises environments.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and optimisation of scalable, reliable and secure system architectures on AWS.
• Design, implement and maintain infrastructure automation and developer tools.
• Build and maintain automated build, test and release pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
• Own Zabbix-based monitoring solutions, including design, implementation, operation and continuous improvement.
• Ensure effective monitoring, alerting and observability to identify performance issues early.
• Troubleshoot system, network and infrastructure issues, conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Assess and improve application and infrastructure security in AWS environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in DevOps or a similar role.
• Good command of written and spoken English and understanding of technical documentation.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and commitment to automation and system reliability.

Required skills

• AWS: EKS, RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora), EC2, Auto Scaling Groups, Lambda, S3, EBS, EFS, VPC, Load Balancers, WAF, VPN, Direct Connect, IAM, Secrets Manager; AWS certification highly preferred.
• Containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, ECR, Fargate.
• Infrastructure as code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, Ansible, Chef or Puppet.
• CI/CD: AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Git.
• Zabbix (server and proxy, custom templates, triggers, alerts) and CloudWatch; ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, X-Ray.
• Linux (Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, RHEL) and Windows Server on EC2; Python, Bash, PowerShell; basic SQL.
• Project management with JIRA and Confluence.
