Director of Annual Giving

About the role

The Director of Annual Giving leads the strategy, execution, and growth of The Paideia School’s annual giving program, the Paideia Fund. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, this role works with parents, alumni, staff and volunteers to meet fundraising and participation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic annual giving plans, including calendars for parent fundraising, leadership giving, reunion giving, Giving Day, employee and volunteer initiatives.
• Design and implement multi‑channel solicitation strategies (email, direct mail, digital, social media, volunteer outreach) targeting parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff and friends.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward leadership donors and manage donor recognition and stewardship events.
• Recruit, train and support parent and alumni volunteers for peer‑to‑peer outreach and community engagement.
• Analyze fundraising performance, donor trends and prepare stewardship reports for the Advancement team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and five to seven years of progressive fundraising, advancement or nonprofit development experience.
• Proven success in achieving fundraising goals and increasing donor participation through annual giving programs.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, welcoming community for all constituents.

Required skills

• Experience with fundraising databases and CRM systems such as Veracross, Raiser's Edge NXT or comparable platforms.
• Familiarity with online giving platforms like GiveCampus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
