Director of Strategy, Business Development & AI Transformation

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Strategy, Business Development & AI Transformation to work directly with the CEO/General Manager of a leading travel and tourism company. This hands‑on, senior position will shape strategic priorities, drive growth initiatives and lead the organization’s AI transformation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO/GM to define strategic priorities and translate them into actionable plans.
• Build alignment across leadership, internal teams and external partners on objectives, ownership and execution.
• Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, strategic partnerships and new business models.
• Take ownership of cross‑functional initiatives, coordinate stakeholders, resolve dependencies and ensure delivery.
• Shape the AI transformation agenda, develop business cases and market analyses to support executive decisions.
• Monitor progress, assess business impact, address execution gaps and keep leadership informed of risks.

Required profile

• Significant experience in strategy, business development, management consulting or business transformation.
• Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and work effectively with CEOs and senior leadership teams.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Commercial judgment, analytical depth and a hands‑on approach to execution.
• Practical understanding of AI applications and their potential to improve operations and customer experience.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and executive presentation skills.
• Fluency in English; experience in travel, tourism, hospitality or consumer‑facing businesses is a plus.
