E-Commerce Category Manager

About the role

Mavi, a global lifestyle brand founded in 1991 in Istanbul and publicly traded since 2017, is looking for an E-Commerce Category Manager. The role drives online sales and profitability across assigned product categories by developing effective category strategies and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business developments, category performance and industry sales and marketing trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop online sales and promotional strategies for assigned categories in line with business objectives.
• Analyze sales reports and market data to identify product demand and optimize category performance.
• Evaluate the financial aspects of category development, including budgets, sales forecasts and profit and loss projections.
• Prepare purchase orders for assigned categories within online budgets and in line with category needs and sales expectations.
• Build strong working relationships with category, planning, supply chain and marketing teams, and ensure marketing and commercial activities integrate smoothly.
• Improve e-commerce category management processes and conversion rates.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience, preferably in product or category management and/or merchandising, with proven team management experience.
• Strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of commercial and financial figures.
• Ability to solve problems creatively, manage projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and proficiency in English (a must).
