Electronic Hardware Safety Engineer

About the role
Perform safety analysis for next‑generation automotive ECUs, inverters and battery‑management systems. Work on hardware safety metrics, evaluate architectures against ASIL requirements and collaborate with customers, suppliers and assessors.
Key responsibilities
- Drive hardware safety metrics analysis (SPFM, LFM, PMHF).
- Evaluate hardware architectures against safety goals and ISO 26262 ASIL requirements.
- Interface with customers, suppliers and external assessors on safety‑related topics.
- Support project and quality management activities and contribute to process improvements.
Required profile
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in automotive hardware development for safety‑critical systems.
- Strong understanding of hardware development and safety architectures, diagnostic concepts and safety mechanisms.
Required skills
- Practical experience with ISO 26262 functional safety standard.
- Proven experience performing FTA, FMEDA and DFA.
- Knowledge of semiconductor components, power electronics and microcontrollers.
- Familiarity with requirements management and safety tools such as Ansys Medini Analyze and APIS IQ‑FMEA.
