English-German Teacher (Hybrid)

About the role

Enderun Colleges, a four-year undergraduate institution in Istanbul offering bachelor's and non-degree programs in hospitality management, business administration, entrepreneurship and economics, is hiring a full-time hybrid English-German teacher. The role combines on-campus teaching with some work-from-home duties, delivering lessons in both languages in line with the college's academic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English and German lessons aligned with the college's learning outcomes.
• Prepare instructional materials, assess student performance and give individualized feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Provide tutoring and academic support outside regular class hours.
• Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development and take part in training sessions, meetings and school events.
• Foster an inclusive, student-centered environment that supports language proficiency and intercultural competence.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in teaching German and English at multiple proficiency levels.
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Education, Languages, Linguistics or a related field; teaching certifications are an advantage.
• Experience teaching in higher education or language schools, preferably in an international or multicultural setting.
• Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Strong teaching and education skills: lesson planning, classroom management and learner-centered methods.
• Tutoring and training experience, including small-group learning.
• Excellent oral and written English and German.
• Ability to use digital tools and learning platforms for hybrid teaching.
