Expenses Accounting Manager

About the role

Diageo is seeking an Expenses Accounting Manager to lead expense accounting processes in a high‑volume FMCG environment. You will ensure accurate month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closings while supporting finance transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead expense accounting processes and coordinate monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing activities.
• Review general ledger accounts, journal entries, accruals, provisions and other adjustments.
• Prepare and review account and balance‑sheet reconciliations, and follow up on unusual items.
• Support accounting for leases, intercompany transactions and other balance‑sheet accounts.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues, escalating to senior management when needed.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and local regulations and implement them.
• Contribute to finance transformation, ERP, automation and digital‑tool initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or similar finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish statutory accounting practices.
• Hands‑on experience with general accounting and month‑end/year‑end close processes.
• Previous people‑management experience is preferred.
• Experience in FMCG or high‑volume transaction environments is a plus.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, SMMM or equivalent are advantageous.
