Field Service Engineer - Chinese Speaking (Bursa)

About the role

Theo services high-performance fiber laser solutions built by Maxphotonics and offers responsive support throughout customers' production journeys. It is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Field Service Engineer to support customers through on-site service, troubleshooting and repair, and to handle Return Material Authorization (RMA) repairs at its facility. The role suits someone who works independently, is comfortable with extensive travel and excels in both technical execution and customer communication.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, calibration, diagnostics, maintenance and repair of company equipment at customer sites.
• Conduct RMA evaluations and repairs in-house as required.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Complete service reports, documentation and paperwork accurately and on time.
• Work with internal teams to give field feedback and support continuous improvement.
• Maintain proper inventory and care of tools, parts and equipment.
• Follow safety standards and protocols during field and in-house service.

Required profile

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese to communicate with the China-based technical team.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Self-motivated, with good organizational and time-management skills, and effective verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%, including overnight stays.
• 2+ years of field service or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
• Technical degree (associate or higher) in Electronics, Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical or precision instrumentation; familiarity with RMA processes and service operations.
• Background in semiconductors, medical devices, industrial automation or similar high-tech industries; experience with industrial fiber optic lasers is a plus.
