Financial Controller

About the role

Join DFDS as a Financial Controller and play a key part in delivering accurate financial information for a leading European transport company. You will work closely with the Financial Controlling Manager and the wider finance team to ensure compliance with IFRS standards and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Controlling Manager in preparing monthly IFRS financial statements and the group reporting package.
• Enter and reconcile financial figures in ERP systems D365 and Onestream according to DFDS group accounting policy.
• Provide direct support to DFDS headquarters and the controlling team, supplying required information promptly.
• Prepare monthly financial reports comparing actual results with budget and forecast, and analyse variances.
• Contribute to process‑improvement projects related to financial reporting.
• Respond quickly to ad‑hoc requests with accurate reports.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field (M.Sc preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting or audit, preferably with a Big Four firm.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical mindset, teamwork orientation and communication skills.
• No military obligation for male candidates.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems D365 and Onestream.
