Financial Controlling Manager

About the role

We are seeking a strategic and results‑driven Financial Controlling Manager to lead accounting, controlling and reporting across our group of precious‑metals companies. The role will ensure accurate financial data, support strategic decision‑making and drive continuous improvement in our finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare and analyse financial reports, including variance analysis between actual and budgeted results.
• Conduct profitability analysis across business units, products or projects.
• Perform sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess the impact of key variables.
• Monitor key financial performance indicators and provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing in coordination with the accounting team.
• Assist the CFO in developing and maintaining financial models for planning and investment decisions.
• Identify risks and opportunities in financial performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and monitor spending.
• Prepare presentations and reports for executive leadership and board meetings.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems and reporting tools.
• Supervise and mentor junior controlling and finance staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field (Master’s, CPA or CFA preferred).
• Approximately 10 years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
• Proven experience in profitability analysis and sensitivity/scenario modelling.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Leadership experience with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems.
• Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP accounting standards.
